My name is Amber, I am the lucky mother of 2 boys and, a princess, we live in a small town in western Illinois. Over the years I have acquired other members to our family. We have a 28lb black cat who got the name Rocks (for what reason I don't remember), several fish (who didn't last long since my gorgeous daughter didn't know they don't eat feathers) 2 hamsters, Venus and De Milo, and our newest addition is our Australian Shepherd Moose.
Being a single mother is hard and can be exhausting, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. I am a very blessed woman, my daughter who is 4 is mini me in every sense of the word. She talks like me and wants to be just like me and I couldn't be more proud to have such a gorgeous little girl I can call mine. I have a 10 year old son who is too smart for his own good, he is heading into that "I know it all" phase, and at times his mouth gets in his way but more times then not he is the most caring, considerate young man. I couldn't be happier with the man he is learning to be. My 9 year old is a bundle of creativity and spirit unlike anything I have ever seen. I marvel at the ideas he has, how intricate and detailed they are, I love the energy he has and the spirit he puts into everything he does. He gets discouraged but doesn't let that stop him. I love everything about them all.
As for me, I have faced many struggles in life, I have loved and I have lost, but I am trying to find myself amongst the chaos of every day life. I am trying to find my place in the world and helping my wonderful children learn from the mistakes I make. I am not perfect but I can not be defeated, I have God on my side and 3 kids to encourage me.
It may be chaos but, it's my chaos and it doesn't matter if my flip flops don't match.
